What to Expect
Early Morning: Nairobi to Lake Naivasha
Depart Nairobi at 6:30 AM. Drive along the Nairobi Nakuru highway. Stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos. Continue to Lake Naivasha arriving around 8:30 AM.

Morning: Hells Gate National Park
Enter Hells Gate and rent bicycles at the gate. Cycle 7 kilometres through the park alongside wildlife. Zebra, giraffe, eland and buffalo are common. The scenery is dramatic with Fischer’s Tower and the Central Tower rising from the valley floor. Leave your bikes at the gorge entrance.
Midday: Gorge Walk
Descend into Hells Gate Gorge. Walk through narrow rock passages with walls rising 20 metres on each side. See natural hot springs and geothermal steam vents. The walk takes about 1 to 2 hours depending on water levels. You will need sturdy shoes.
Afternoon: Lake Naivasha Boat Ride
After lunch at a lakeside restaurant, take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha. The freshwater lake is home to hippos, fish eagles, cormorants and pelicans. Your boatman will take you close to Crescent Island for the best wildlife views. Return to Nairobi by 6:00 PM.
