A championship course on an old coffee estate
Karen Country Club was founded in 1937 on land that was once Karen Blixen’s coffee estate. The 18 hole championship course is a par 72 for members and is set up as a par 70 when the Kenya Open comes to town.
The club hosted the Kenya Open in 2015, 2016, 2019, 2021 and 2026, when South Africa’s Casey Jarvis won. The World Golf Awards named it Kenya’s Best Golf Course in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2024.
Karen is a members club. Visitors play by paying green fees, and we handle the booking.
