Why does the Masai Mara cost more from July?
The Masai Mara reserve fee for international visitors doubles from USD 100 to USD 200 per adult per day from July to December, the migration season. Camps also move to high season rates, so the same trip can cost 30 to 50 percent more.

Are residents and citizens cheaper?
Yes, much cheaper. Kenyan citizens and residents pay park fees in shillings and many lodges have resident rates. Choose Kenyan resident in the calculator and carry your ID or residence card at the gate.
