What You’ll Experience
Craft Workshops — Tour the jewellery workshop (beadwork, silver, bone carving), leather goods workshop (bags, belts, sandals), textile section (hand-woven fabrics, batik), and woodcarving studio. Watch skilled artisans create pieces by hand and learn about traditional techniques passed down through generations.
Cultural Village — Walk through reconstructed traditional homesteads representing the Mijikenda, Swahili, Kamba, and other Kenyan communities. See traditional architecture, cooking methods, and daily life. The highlight is a live traditional dance performance featuring energetic Giriama dances, Taraab music, and Mijikenda drum rhythms.
Gift Shop — Browse and purchase handcrafted jewellery, leather goods, textiles, and carvings. Every purchase directly supports the artisans and the programme’s mission.
